In less than three months from now, there have been numerous vehicle accidents that have involved students from various parts of the world.
The Clarendon police yesterday spoke to understudies in the ward to utilize just approved public service traveler vehicles taking after a two-vehicle crash in Vernanfield in which 23 students from the Garvey Maceo Secondary School in the ward were seriously injured.
The mishap, which happened around 9:00 am, allegedly included a Toyota Picnic Auto and a Toyota Hiace minibus which was most certainly not authorized to work as an open traveler vehicle. The transport driver supposedly fled the scene and was being looked for by the police.
The police’s Corporate Communication Unit reported that one student, who was reported to be seriously injured, was airlifted to a doctor’s facility in Kingston, while the others were dealt with at the May Pen Hospital.
Recently, Minister of Transport Mike Henry approached the Transport Power to decide the conditions of the accident as the transport was authorized to convey just 15 travelers.
