Europe after appearing to elbow Emre Can in the final stages of Manchester United’s defeat to Liverpool. Despite all, in the match, Fellaini had many foul play on Liverpool FC players, hence, this could be another reason for the UEFA decision on the ban.
The Belgian clashed with the Liverpool midfielder off the ball but the incident was missed by Spanish referee Carlos Velasco Carballo.
“If the referees had seen that, it would have been a red card for sure,” former Premier League and World Cup referee Howard Webb told Wakenya Sports.
“Uefa might want to look at that as well, it was clearly an act of violent conduct, none of the six officials saw it on the day.”
