HAS WILLIAM RUTO SHUFFLED CARDS FOR SUPPORT FROM AFRICAN LEADERS?? – EVIDENCE
The big question: is DP William RUTO clean or the claims sorounding him false. Here is the Truth.
Attorneys-general and justice ministers from
various African countries have backed Kenya’s
push to reject the use of recanted evidence in
the case against Deputy President William Ruto
at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
They also resolved to support the request by
Kenya at the Assembly of State Parties next
week to have an independent audit of the ICC
prosecutor’s system to identify witnesses and
the possible breaches of the law in that process.
They said that the use of recanted evidence was
contrary to the understanding reached by
countries at the 12th Assembly of States Parties
in 2013 and constitutes a serious affront to the
universally accepted right to fair trial.
The statement was issued from Addis Ababa,
where the ministers and attorneys-general have
been meeting.
Kenya is preparing a delegation to the Assembly
of State Parties to the Rome Statute at The
Hague.
Some 190 MPs have signed a petition by Pokot
South MP David Pkosing for the independent
audit of the identification of witnesses.
Justice and Legal Affairs Committee chairman
Samuel Chepkong’a said Kenyan MPs would
insist that Rule 68 agreed to in November 2013
was not to be used in the cases facing the DP
and radio journalist Joshua arap Sang.
“We know that no law applies to you for a
crime you committed before that law came into
effect,”
