Police are looking for a senior representative of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) who has disappeared. On Sunday, the IEBC in a public statement marked by Director Wafula Chebukati said the whereabouts of Mr Christopher Musando, the Data Centre and Infrastructure Manager, have not been established.
“The commission wishes to notify the public that one of its ICT managers was last seen on Friday night. The last communication from him is an SMS text sent to one of his colleagues at around 3am on Saturday morning,” Mr Chebukati said.
The commission has additionally posted a similar message on its official Twitter handle.
The IEBC additionally said that the issue has been reported to the police
also, the commission together with relatives are working with the police to build up Mr Musando’s whereabouts.
Mr. Musando was the ICT chief on an acting capacity after Mr James Muhati was sent on a 30-day obligatory leave on May 27
in the wake of neglecting to collaborate with the review office.
