Road accidents in Kenya have been on the rise despite roads being well constructed and road signs put in place. One of the major reasons or causes of road accidents is the negligence by motor vehicle drivers to adhere to the rules governing driving.
This but not least include over speeding, overtaking at wrong road alignment’s and navigation’s, driving while drunk, driving with no expertise and perfection, ignoring road and traffic symbols and many other reasons.
On the 1st of July 2016, it was reported that eight students from Kenyatta University (4 males and 4 females), lost their lives. The accident that took place along Kisii-Kilgoris road happened at around 8:00pm at night.
Besides the entire Kenyan nation family and as well the Kenyatta University who were saddened by this news, The Kisii cCounty Governor also had a message of condolence to share. This is what he wrote on his Facebook page; read below:-
