Land Boss Arrested For Selling 600 acres To M. Gen. Mbadi

Latest reports indicate that Masaka District Land Board Chairperson, Peter Ssenkungu, has been arrested for selling 600 acres of land at Shs800,000 to Major Gen. Wilson Mbadi, the Deputy Chief of Defense Forces in Bukakata.
Mbadi later sold the land to Pastor Samuel Kakanda, the head of Kakande Ministries at Shs80m. The revelation made Justice Bamugemereire question Ssenkungu’s mental status, wondering if he ever went to school having sold such an extensive land to Mbadi at a low sum.

Ssenkungu failed to reply claiming he doesn’t understand English. The commission then ordered him to use Luganda but the chair claimed to have diabetes, saying his sugar levels had dropped.
This came after Hajji Bulu Katale, the former deputy chief of Buddu County, was remanded to Masaka Central Prison over alleged shady land transactions.
