The 2016-2017 football season is just back, and this is awesomely good news to the football aficionados.
Spartak Moscow made a triumphant begin to the new Russian Premier league season as they whipped Arsenal Tula 4-0 in the capital city on Sunday.
Supports by Georgian midfielder Zhano Ananidze and Dutch forward Quincy Promes gave nine-time champions Spartak an amazing triumph.
Spartak began brilliantly and in the 6th minute Promes found Ananidze unmarked in the region. The 23-year-old had enough time and space to locate the net with a calculated shot. Arsenal Tula poured forward looking for an equalizer however, they at most occasions wasted their few possibilities to net inside.
Ananidze had the Spartak Moscow fans on their feet in the 34th minute when he got his second of the match with a 30-yard shot into the net. Two minutes after the break of half time, Promes made it three by turning in Dmitry Kombarov’s cross from short proximity.
Promes adjusted off the scoring in the second moment of injury time with a shot from simply inside the opponents territory.
“It’s nice to start the new season with a win,” Spartak Moscow Coach Dmitry Alenichev mentioned after the match.
“I set my players a task to score an early opener and they achieved that. It helped us” he added.
