MMUST (Masinde Muliro University) Closed/ Shut Down

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology students vacating the University premises, 12th April 2016, after it was closed indefinitely.

BREAKING: For the year 2016 as at upto date, this is the 7th university to be closed indefinitely. Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology main campus and all its satellite campuses have been shut inconclusively after an understudy turmoil Tuesday morning.
This follows a week ago after University of Nairobi was also shut down indefinitely following students protests and riots after Babu Owino rigged the Elections, as it was implicated.


In a notification to the students, the College faulted the mobs for a well-organized arrangement to stop the examinations, which had been booked for Tuesday 12th April 2016, from occurring.

The episode comes scarcely a year after a comparative distress prompted the inconclusive conclusion of the University after two students were killed.

A year ago’s mobs were started off by a gathering of understudies who challenged examples of abnormalities in examination enrollment, leaving ten understudies harmed and property obliterated.
