The Bungoma Senator looked to disperse claims that his enthusiasm for being the Opposition banner carrier in the 2017 presidential race could put the CORD coalition solidarity to test.
“Come what may we as CORD must work together to bring change to this country.” Daily nation quotes Moses Wetangula.
Furthermore, the CORD fraternity also accused the JAP/ Jubilee coalition of being behind the
fracas that took place at the Wetangula Presidential bid rally.
“We wish to remind the Jubilee coalition that the CORD Principals are ideologically united and cannot fall for such cheap state sponsored Mechanisations. They also added that they assure their supporters that the CORD coalition shall remain united than hitherto,” the Coalition’s CEO Norman Magaya stated.
The plain clothe police officers were also accused of injuring innocent Kenyan citizens who had attended the rally and disrupting “a peaceful” rally, noting that police must give reasons why a teargas canister would be lobbed at the podium where the Kingpins were seated.
