In the recent past, there have been lots of insecurity issues, killings, unrest in numerous parts of Uganda as well as in learning institutions. Nansana is a town in the Central Regions of the Uganda nation. It is located in the Wakiso District and is one of the five municipalities in the district.
There was a lot of drama in Nansana Wakiso area after the residents and occupants denounced police for scheming with the culprits to threaten them prompting high crime rate in the territory.
Kayihura was meeting residents amid an open public Baraza held at Royal Greenhouses turn to find an answer for high rate of wrongdoings in the zone.
Shantari Mukaburenzi one of the inhabitants disclosed to Gen Kayihura that he went to police and outlined for the Officer In-Control individuals who confer offenses in the region however the officer told her to move from the region.

Below is what a lady from the area, Shantari, had to say publicly:-
“I went to Nansana police and told the OC about people who sell marijuana in the area and the OC told me to shift if I thought that they will kill me.”
Another resident of the area said this;- “Some mafias crushed down my house and when I went to police at Katoke to report the case, police officers told me to bring money for transport which I could not raise and I ended up losing my house.”
Following the plea of the residents, the police boss Kayihura had to say this.
“I want you residents to give me information about police officers who deal with criminals and I work on them without fear or favor. These criminals stay with you in the same area and you know them, just report them to us and we work on them,” said Police chief Kayihura.
Kayihura further urged residents to work with police in fighting crime.
