President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday flew into the Somali capital, Mogadishu, to go to an exceptional IGAD Summit.
President Kenyatta, who strolled through troops in line on landing in the Aden Adde Global Airplane terminal in Mogadishu, was welcomed by his host President Hassan Sheik Mohamoud.
This is the First Principal visit to Somalia by a Kenyan Head of State in three decades i.e 30 years.
President Kenyatta and President Mohamoud later held brief reciprocal talks at an inn close to the airplane terminal in front of the unique IGAD Summit.
The Summit, likewise attended by Uganda President Yoweri Museveni and Ethiopian Head Hailemariam Desalegn, will examine the advancement Somalia has made towards settling security matters and strength.
