This Is What Uhuru Kenyatta Said After Raila’s Withdrawal On Elections Repeat

Uhuru Kenyatta is the President of the Republic of Kenya since the year 2013. In the month of August 8 2017, Kenya held its national elections on all seats and as per IEBC results, Uhuru emerged the winner. However, the opposition led by Raila Odinga dismissed the results and claimed the IEBC system was hacked and hence the results were rigged.
NASA party forwarded their petition to the Supreme court of Kenya and the declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as the President was nullified. The elections were set to be repeated and 26th October was the set date by IEBC. However, the NASA team were claiming that the IEBC body should be reformed or else, no elections shall be held. On the continued demos across the nation with no response from the IEBC, NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga announced on 10th October 2017, that he has withdrawn from the elections in any case IEBC team won’t be reformed.

On the other hand, Jubilee Party Leader Uhuru Kenyatta took his campaigns to coast province, Voi town, where he claimed that Raila’s withdrawal from the elections won’t shake nor bother them as they are well prepared for the rerun of the elections on 26th October 2017.
Below is a message by President Uhuru Kenyatta to Raila Odinga on his withdrawal from the elections;-
We don’t have time for empty rhetoric and divisive politics. Our agenda is to fulfill our promises to the Kenyan people. What is the justice in the act of withdrawing from an election after causing Kenyans to use Kenya shillings 12 billion? Democracy is for all and no single individual can stand in the way of the democratic right of the people #VoiNiJubilee #MunguNiYuleYule #WakenyaNiWaleWale
