Uhuru Kenyatta warns contractors against inflating costs
President Uhuru Kenyatta has said costly offers won’t be acknowledged for the development of 10,000 kilometers of streets under the annuity program.
The national government is looking to secure long haul contracts for the configuration, financing, development and support of distinguished streets in association with private builders, who will be paid on finishing the street lives up to expectations. President Kenyatta said the government is searching for inventive approaches to fund foundation outside budgetary impediments yet that did not mean the foremen ought to manhandle the opportunity.
“As Kenyans, we must acknowledge that we can’t keep doing things the way we used to do them customarily.
“I was taking a gander at a percentage of the citations we got and am astounded by a portion of the citations, the streets don’t have to cost as much as you let us know,” the President said.
